Sabrina & Michael

How did Michael propose? Michael proposed on our 3rd anniversary in Aspen, Colorado. We got to know each other in Aspen and fell in love there, so it is a very special place for both of us. At sunset we went up on the rooftop of what is now our home, and he asked me to marry him. We celebrated over dinner at the restaurant where we shared our first date.

Standout Memory of the night: There are too many to choose just one. Michael’s expression as I walked down the aisle, we did not see each other for photographs beforehand so it was a powerful moment. The sheer beauty and magic of our setting, we got married on the stretch of beach that separated our childhood homes; and the genuine love that surrounded us in all of our family and friends, it was a truly magnificent day.

Honeymoon Location: We went on a journey through the Amalfi Coast and South of France. It was delicious and heavenly, a perfect mix of adventure and luxury.

One piece of advice that you could give to other couples: Have your rehearsal dinner 2 nights before your wedding if you can, so that you can rest and relax the night before! We had our rehearsal dinner on Friday and our wedding on Sunday, it was the best “wedding” decision we made.

Wedding Dress: Monique Lhulier from Bergdorf Goodman

Groom’s Tux: Custom Made suit from Mysuit

Bridesmaids’ Gift and Groomsmen’ Gift: I gave my bridesmaids monogrammed white robes to get ready in and small gift bags of organic goodies. I also let them choose their own dresses, that was the real gift!! Michael gave his groomsmen blue Hermes ties and Hermes silver cuff links to wear on our wedding day.

Something borrowed and something blue:  My something blue was a blue garter that one of my bridesmaids gifted me, she wore a matching one at her wedding 2 months before. My something old was a piece of my paternal grandfather’s shirt (who passed away before I was born) stitched into my dress.

Photo of the Week: Oheka Castle Library

We are happy to announce that every Friday we will be posting a photo of the week, where our photographers collaborate to find the photo that truly is breathtaking.

Cheers to our first photo of the week!

“There are simple moments when shooting a wedding that really take your breath away. When one of the bridesmaids opened the door here at Oheka Castle Library, a small gust of wind took these images from timeless to exceptional. Congratulations Leslie and Steven!” – Brian Marcus
