Wedding Inspiration: Liz & Owen

Liz had always dreamed of getting married at her childhood home. With the help of an amazing team her parent’s backyard was transformed in to a miraculous setting for their wedding day.  Liz and Owen tied the knot in front of over 250 people in the very same spot that she played in as a child.  Lavish greenery and flowers were designed to compliment the landscape of the property and the guests dined and danced in a beautiful tent accented by sunflower and crystal candelabra centerpieces and hanging chandeliers. It was a magical day from start to finish, and we were honored to have been there to capture it.

The possibilities are endless.   Keep dreaming of your perfect day, and we’ll help you remember it.

Rainy Mondays

Mondays are rough, and even more-so when it’s a gray day outside.  To remind us of the beauty that can still happen on a day like today, we’re taking a look back at Jodi and Ronen’s wedding from around this time last year at Brooklake Country Club.

One of the most common questions we hear leading up to a wedding day is “What if it rains?”.    We refer back to pictures like these to explain that the rain just adds to the story of the day.   Rain can create a soft, romantic look, and when it’s overcast the clouds act like a giant soft-box or light-diffuser.   It also provides the opportunity for a spectacular end-of-the-night shot!  Backlighting rain can make it look like you’re in the middle of a starry night.   We may not be able to control the weather…but we can certainly work with it!

Maya’s First Birthday

“When I photographed Nicole & Roy’s wedding almost 10 years ago, I knew I had friends and clients for life. They’ve added three beautiful children to their crew including Maya; the most musical 1 year old I’ve ever met.  Happy Birthday Maya!”  -Brian Marcus
